For more information regarding our Postgraduate opportunities please use our enquiry form.

If you are considering undergraduate study, you can read about our courses, teaching, mission, and outlook. You can surf through the History modules we have developed, the flexible programmes we have put together (which include part-time and summer study), and track down people to contact if you have further questions.

If you are interested in postgraduate work, you can explore the research expertise at the History Department, and read about the various academic staff, research activity, and postgraduate degrees on offer. The Masters in Historical Research (MRes) is a one-year taught programme that is research-oriented and allows specialization or outcomes in particular research areas, such as Scottish History, Medieval History or the American Revolution. The Masters in Revolution and Counter-Revolution is a wholly taught degree. Both are intended to appeal to applicants interested in professional development and to train research postgraduates for the fully-fledged doctoral programme (PhD) at Stirling and other universities.
